recently i saw a girl sporting a pair of saddle shoes and was inspired to track down this photo. it shows me in the beginning stages of my saddle shoe obsession (which started thanks to my mom, because i was only 2.5 in this picture and hardly able to make my own fashion decisions).
i can't say what i love about saddle shoes. the black and white is a draw, the retro-feel, the way they look after being worn for a while (i've always been embarrassed by bright white shoes). what probably drew me the most to them is their name- i was also obsessed with horses, and probably pictured wearing saddle shoes while on a saddle on a horse.

I totally feel you on this one. I had a pair of pink/white ones when I little. I've looked but haven't been able to find them in adult sizes. I would totally rock a pair of those if I came across some.
